TVC Airport: Windows to Wonder
“An aerial view begs expansive thinking. It gives us a feeling of being extracted from our
usual environment for a chance to physically and mentally see a bigger picture.”
There is a universal magic found in the window seat. It is the most coveted spot on the
plane—a private portal where children press their noses to the glass and seasoned
travelers find themselves lost in thought. "Windows to Wonder" celebrates this unique headspace that only exists at 30,000 feet. By utilizing canvases shaped like airplane windows fabricated by participating artist Justin Shull, seven Traverse City area artists have captured the physical and emotional experience of flight. This exhibition invites you to pause mid-journey and see the world—both real and imagined—through a different lens.
