I am drawn to the abstract shapes and geometries that emerge when we see the land from above. On a flight out of Traverse City several years ago, I was baffled by the mysterious landform of what I now know is the Brown Bridge Quiet Area. Only 10 miles south of this airport, I had never known about this section of the Boardman River and its beauty. I love the juxtaposition of the lines of our built environments and the curving lines of the river in this image.
